On July 25, Baosteel fifth batch aiding Tibet cadres, and first batch aiding Qinghai cadres went to Beijing to receive training with sincere and friendly blessing from the people of Baosteel. After that, they will go to Zhongba county of Shigatse area and Tongde County, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai to do their duties. Before departure, Chairperson of Baosteel Group Corporation XU Lejiang, Vice chairman, Secretary of the Party committee LIU Guosheng, and the managing director HE Wenbo cordially met them and encouraged them to cherish this training opportunity and to do whatever they can to work for the well-being of the local people.
Baosteel has dispatched 4 batches of a total of 8 aiding Tibet cadres to work in Shigatse area according to the central government's decision. Baosteel has invested a total of 166 million yuan in Tibet over the past 11 years, which has improved the living of local herdsman, spurred local economy, and maintained social stability. A new batch of aiding Tibet cadres is recruited to continue supporting Tibet because the fourth batch has returned to Shanghai with their mission completed. Meanwhile, Baosteel will be responsible for the construction of Qinghai from this year as the Party Central Committee Organization Department and the State Council, the SASAC required. An aiding-Qinghai cadre will also be appointed to work in Tongde County, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai.
Through repeated selection, General Secretary of the Party Committee of Baosteel steelmaking plant Luojing branch YANG Qianwei, vice secretary of the Party committee from Shanghai Baosteel Energy-saving Technology Co., Ltd. of Baosteel Engineering Technology Group, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission and union official LIAO Shengxing finally be chosen as the fifth batch aiding-Tibet cadres. Party Committee Propaganda Department Minister of Baosteel Development Company, general manager of corporate culture department HUANG Daofeng are chosen as the first batch aiding-Qinghai cadres. They will be in office from August 2013 to July 2016 during their term of 3 years.
A few days ago, HE Wenbo feasted the aiding-Tibet cadres, aiding-Qinghai cadres and their relatives. HE volunteered to share his feeling and anecdotes with the relatives of these cadres to relieve their anxiety. With cheers and laughter, these relatives was touched by the genuine solicitude and benevolence from the company and then expressed that they will be the powerful backbone for their husbands to let them work at ease.
When he communicated with these cadres LIU Guosheng said: “Aiding Tibet and Qinghai is a chance of a lifetime to steel yourself against the hardship and make you grow. You should care about your health and ensure your safety, because the local conditions are hard. Besides, you should cultivate your political consciousness and study the Party’s policy toward ethnic minorities earnestly. Baosteel will provide the strongest support for you so you should try your best to improve the living of the local people and promote the local economy without the worries behind.
XU Lejiang said when he met with these cadres: “Baosteel has been very familiar with the local conditions and made contribution to the living of local herdsman, local economic development and stability of society by the hard-working of previous four batches of aiding-Tibet cadres. The following batches should keep on trying to benefit the local people more. However, Baosteel is unfamiliar with Qinghai area. So I hope these aiding-Qinghai cadres will soon become one of the local people and map out a suitable plan for the construction of Qinghai, taking into account the key facts of Qinghai, the needs of local people and the conjoint point between Baosteel’s aiding and local construction. The work of aiding Tibet and Qinghai will never end. I hope these cadres will give priority to the sustainable development of local economy and society, passing on the tradition of aid-Tibet and Qinghai from generation to generation.
The three aiding-Tibet and Qinghai cadres are full of ambition and confidence in their work in the next three years. YANG Qianwei and LIAO Shengxing promised that they will be humble enough to learn from each other and cooperate with each other, making efforts to perform better on improvement of working conditions and living conditions of local people and the flourishing of Zhongba economy and society. HUANG Daofeng said he will investigate the local economy and society after he arrived in Qinghai and identify himself with the local people to pave the way for the construction of Qinghai aided by Baosteel.
